REVIEW: TREAT BEAUTY LIP BALM

Im back for another review! The first one seemed to go pretty well and i recently (in the last few months) tried out something new that i think is worth sharing. I think i found out about Treat Beauty on Facebook or Instagram, from an ad i saw. They are always sharing videos of people, usually You Tubers or some other type of social media-famous influencer, raving about their products. I think the video i saw was of Kandee Johnson, who is huge in the social media world of makeup/beauty (which i know nothing about but i don’t live under a rock so i had heard of her before). Anyway, she’s adorable and has this sort of innocent sweetness about her and was raving about this Birthday Cake Lip Balm that started sounding really delicious so i had to look into it more.
Treat Beauty is an organic beauty company. Their main focus is the lip balms and scrubs but they also have some body butters and creams. One thing that is noteworthy is that they make lip balms/chapsticks targeted towards men as well. For this review i am focusing on just the lip balms; i am in the process of trying some other products and will post about those after i have finished trying them out.

I have been trying these out for the last few months and have already collected a few (collecting them is slightly addicting). I included the Burt’s Bees in the picture just for size so you can see just how big these things are. So first off, they are a little more expensive than your typical lip balms, but as you can see, they are also a lot bigger than your typical lip balms so you are getting what you pay for in my opinion. Its actually kind of funny to use one of these for awhile and then go back to a regular sized one like Burt’s Bees, it feels so tiny (but i will never give up my Burt’s bees)! As you can see they all have a USDA Organic stamp on them and you can see all the ingredients on their website: www.treatbeauty.com. The thing i like is that i can pronounce every single ingredient and i know what every single one is. These are all coconut oil based and they have every flavor you can think of. These are the only ones i have tried so far but all are delicious (Marshmallow Cream is my favorite).
Besides being made of all around good stuff, they are one of the only lip balms/chapsticks that doesn’t make me break out around my lip line when i use them. You have no idea how exciting that is to me. The other amazing thing, especially considering coconut oil is the first ingredient, is that they don’t melt! I live in Arizona and they didn’t melt even a little after sitting in my hot mailbox all day or when i left them in my hot car. It’s summer, that means 100+ degrees everyday so just imagine how hot the inside of my car or mailbox is on those days.
Time for the “things i don’t like about it” part. There’s really only one thing and it is actually the same as one of the cons about the product in my last review: stevia. So a lot (but not all) of the lip balms have stevia as the last ingredient. Its the last ingredient so that means there’s not very much in there. Also, with the exception of the Confetti Cake flavor, i can’t taste it at all. I feel like i can minutely taste it in the Confetti Cake flavor but that could be partly because i know its in there.
All in all, these lip balms are great products; they work, they’re made from quality ingredients, they’re ginormous, and they’re delicious (also they don’t melt and they don’t make my face break out like everything else). I look forward to buying more flavors and also possibly trying out their lip scrubs. I am currently trying out one of the body butters and some of the treatment sticks so look for those reviews to come in the near future.
