I’m on a smoothie roll, guys. I made another pretty delicious one. And as I’m getting better at making these things I’m realizing my Magic Bullet is not quite pulling it’s weight. Now keep in mind my Magic Bullet is the original, from-the-infomercial one, so it’s had s good run. Some of you are probably too young to know there was an infomercial. Anyways, Ive been thinking about getting a Nutri-Bullet, which I guess is like Magic Bullet’s more powerful cousin. I like the Bullets because they are small, I only make one at a time so I don’t need a huge blender. Now on to the “recipe”: – handful of frozen mango chunks – big handful fresh spinach leaves – ~1-2 tablespoons vanilla Greek yogurt – 1 scoop collagen protein – coconut water – teaspoon chia seeds (optional) I buy frozen mango chunks from the freezer section because, have you ever tried to cut up a mango? Its difficult, for me at least. If you’re using a small blender like me make sure you smush down the spinach so everything fits. I always add chia seeds to any smoothie when I remember because they don’t affect the flavor and are a good source of fiber and omega-3. Not to mention the full amino acid profile- that’s right it’s a complete protein. As I mentioned in the last “recipe” post, I like collagen protein but feel free to use whatever kind you like. The coconut water I usually pour in enough to fill the cup up to the halfway mark. One other thing I’ve noticed is that sometimes the order you dump everything into the cup matters. Generally frozen stuff goes in first. For this one it went: mango, spinach, yogurt, powders/seeds, rest of spinach, coconut water. So try it and tell me what you think! And if you’re nervous about the spinach I can almost promise you you won’t taste it, all you’ll taste is mango and yogurt.
