How many millions of times have people thought this?? So I was thinking this the other day because i was thinking about all these people who do “unboxing” videos on Youtube. They are making (tons of) money for recording themselves taking things out of boxes. Essentially just opening their mail on video. Really? Why am i not doing this-why is everyone not doing this?! And its not just unboxing, there’s a million different videos about a million different things. People doing makeup tutorials, video gaming, funny videos, arts and crafts; and they’re making a ton of money from it. I heard about a poll where they asked a bunch of school-aged kids what they want their career to be and majority of them said YouTube star. Thats a thing now.
Im always trying to think of ways i can work from home; its my ultimate dream. So i thought, why cant i do this? It seems so simple and there’s tons of things i can “unbox”. My monthly Birchbox for example, or the weekly meal kits i get. Thats 5 videos a month right there without even trying. Eventually though, i feel like it would get really boring and redundant for the audience to just watch me do the same things over and over. Really, the main reason this won’t work for me is my face. I’m just not someone who should be on video. Truth. Also, a bunch of people staring at me is my worst nightmare. But i have a blog, and i can write (mostly) coherent sentences so i could definitely write reviews of products. And reviews to me are better than unboxing because a review is done after the product has been tried so you get an actual opinion about it besides what it looks like. So i think i will start to sprinkle some reviews in here and see how it goes. Will i make tons of money and be able to quit my job? Probably not but a girl can dream.
I am part of the generation that made ADD a thing and it shows. My thoughts are random and I am constantly squirreling, but that's what keeps things interesting, right?
