WTF am i putting on my skin?!

I have been kicking this idea around in my head, only this time, instead of just telling you about this idea I have and then never actually going through with it, I'm really gonna do it. I know, crazy, right? I like reading labels and if you have ever read a label on something like lets say lotion, there's a bunch of really big words and you're thinking, WTF is that? What am I putting on my skin?! And you're thinking all these really long words must be chemicals and I'm putting all these gross chemicals on my skin. But here's the thing, all those really long complicated looking words, are not all gross chemicals, they're just scientific names of vitamins and plants.
So the main thing i would like to do here is basically list out some vitamins and plant extracts that are commonly used in products next to their scientific name. But i would also like to point out that not all chemicals are bad. The word "chemical" covers a lot of things, good and bad. Google "examples of chemicals", I'll wait. So yes, most products we use contain chemicals and that's ok, you just have to educate yourself on which ones are good and which ones are bad.
So without further ado, my list:
Vitamin A: retinol (common form you may see: retinyl palmitate)
Vitamin E: Tocopherol
Vitamin D: calciferol (this is a kind of suffix since there are multiple forms of vitamin D. For example D2 is ergocalciferol.)
Vitamin C: ascorbic acid
Vitamin B1: thiamine
 Vitamin B2: riboflavin
Vitamin B3: niacin
Vitamin B5: pantothenic acid (panthenol)
Vitamin B6: pyridoxine
Vitamin B12: cyanocobalamin
Tea tree: Melaleuca
Green Tea:
Camellia sinensis
Sweet almond (oil): Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis
Lavender:
Lavandula
Shea (butter): Vitellaria paradoxa
Grapeseed (oil): vitis vinifera

This is just a short list of a few things i see often on labels. There are many resources, like the FDA or the INCI, that can help identify these (and more) ingredients. Or you, know, you can just google it and go down the rabbit hole.

I am part of the generation that made ADD a thing and it shows. My thoughts are random and I am constantly squirreling, but that's what keeps things interesting, right?
