I’ve been absent, mostly due to laziness and trying to give some products more of a try. One of those is from Anese. It’s a face mask called License to Chill.
This is marketed as a stress mask and targets hormonal acne. I have a problem with hormonal acne and I love face masks so I was super excited to buy this. Also, stress is my middle name so I’m pretty much willing to try anything that says it will help get rid of it.
A little background: Anese is probably best known for their “booty care” products: a mask, an oil, and a scrub. I have tried the mask, appropriately called ‘Down with the Thickness’. It is a collagen mask, and while it is marketed for your back side, I also use it on some other areas I would like to firm up a little. They also have other body care products, some which I would like to try still; all with names just as clever.
Back to the face mask. I love everything about this mask, except that it just doesn’t work for my incredibly picky skin. I love the light eucalyptus smell, the lavender color, the cooling effect when I put it on my face. I also like that it dries pretty quickly so I can put it on and turn on the shower and by the time it’s warm enough to get in, the mask is ready to be washed off. I also like the ultra smooth texture, it makes this mask so easy to put on without making a huge mess, which I’m really good at doing.
So as perfect as this mask is, my skin just doesn’t like it as much as I do. This mask has sulfur in it, which is intended to target hormonal acne, the stuff that pops up all over your chin and mouth area. The problem is that using this mask actually makes me break out in that area instead of clearing it up. Even though his mask doesn’t work for me, I would still recommend people to try it, I don’t think my skin’s reaction will be the case for others.
I am part of the generation that made ADD a thing and it shows. My thoughts are random and I am constantly squirreling, but that's what keeps things interesting, right?
